Objective 5.2: Continue to deliver a financially sustainable Council that has the Provider resources now and into the future to achieve its strategic objectives. This will be supported through the introduction of enhanced sustainability reporting and performance indicators, as well as ESG (environment social and governance) accounting practices as guided by statutory requirements.

Initiative 5.2.1: Progress embedding sustainability within the organisation through the development and implementation of a sustainability framework.
Q1:On Track
Internal sutainability cross departmental working group established confirming the Doughnut Economics sustainability framework model. Working group identifying ways to implement and embed the sustainability framework. Sustinability policy and embedding roadmap being prepared. Input to sustainable procurement policy underway.

An embedding roadmap has been developed and been socialised with the internal Sustainability Working Group. A grant application to QCRC for resources to progress phase one of the embedding road map which looks at embedding climate risk and sustainability. We are awaiting the outcome of the grant before taking further steps.

A roadmap for embedding climate risk and sustainability has been developed. The grant application to QCRC for resources to progress phase one was unsuccessful, necessitating a pivot to focus limited resources on embedding only the sustainable procurement policy, guideline, and training—delivered in partnership with the Procurement team
