Q4 · On Track · April to June 2025 · latest

A roadmap for embedding climate risk and sustainability has been developed. The grant application to QCRC for resources to progress phase one was unsuccessful, necessitating a pivot to focus limited resources on embedding only the sustainable procurement policy, guideline, and training—delivered in partnership with the Procurement team

Q3 · Minor Disruption · January to March 2025

An embedding roadmap has been developed and been socialised with the internal Sustainability Working Group. A grant application to QCRC for resources to progress phase one of the embedding road map which looks at embedding climate risk and sustainability. We are awaiting the outcome of the grant before taking further steps.

Q2 · Minor Disruption · October to December 2024

The draft Shire Portrait sustainability framework continues to be developed with relevant teams across Council. The Sustainability Working Group continues to meet regularly for direction and knowledge sharing. The Organisational Embedding Roadmap has been drafted with cost estimates currently being prepared. There have been timeframe delays due to higher priorities within the team program.

Q1 · On Track · July to September 2024

Internal sutainability cross departmental working group established confirming the Doughnut Economics sustainability framework model. Working group identifying ways to implement and embed the sustainability framework. Sustinability policy and embedding roadmap being prepared. Input to sustainable procurement policy underway.
