Finalise the Noosa Parking Management Plan to guide our approach to the management of parking throughout the shire including consideration of revenue models such as paid parking.

The Parking Management Plan has been finalised as per scope. The business case for paid parking has been included in the next financial year budget as the next stage of the project. The Transport and Traffic team is awaiting budget deliberations for guidance on the next steps for community consultation.

Commence a Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport Strategy including advocating with DTMR for the finalisation of the strategy and undertaking investigations into the Cooroy and Shire transit hubs to improve public transport connectivity in the shire for residents and visitors.

The Noosa Shire Council Parking and Transport Strategy (NSCPTS) is progressing as scheduled. Team members have actively participated in a recent workshop, contributing to the development of key priorities. Community consultation is anticipated to take place in September 2025, ensuring public views are integrated into the next phase of strategy development.

A detailed application to the SEQ Liveability Fund as been submitted for the Peregian Beach Coastal Cycle Street & Pathway Stage 1 and Wayfinding Signage and Minor Pathways with announcement of outcomes expected in the new financial year. Delivery of pathways within the C&W Program continue to be scheduled in the 10-year capital works program according to priority and available funding. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

Implement license plate recognition in Local Laws parking management.

Procurement of the vehicle, LPR technology, systems and communications plan complete. LPR systems implemented 20 April 2024. Final in configuration being completed. Project has been subject to slight delays due to ICT integration and PR challenges. Scheduled to 'Go Live" on 22 July 2024.
