2.4.1 Beckmans RoadQ3 · On Track · The preferred corridor option has been identified with staging and intersection options review underway in collaboration with DTMR. Federal environmental approval submission and community engagement program is currently being prepared.
2.4.2 Movement and Connection Delivery PlanQ3 · On Track · The Movement and Connection Delivery Plan report has been finalised and reviewed. The report is scheduled for presentation to the June Ordinary Meeting for Council endorsement.
2.4.3 Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport StrategyQ3 · Minor Disruption · The Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport Strategy is in draft and awaiting Ministerial approval prior to proceeding to community consultation. Noosa Council continues to participate as a key stakeholder.
2.4.5 Parking Management PlanQ3 · Minor Disruption · The Parking Management Plan has been finalised as per scope. The business case for paid parking has been included in the next financial year budget as the next stage of the project. The Transport and Traffic team is awaiting budget deliberations for guidance on the next steps for community consultation.

2.4.4 Parking Management Plan · ended the year with minor disruption

The Parking Management Plan is currently on hold, pending the outcomes of the community consultation for the Destination Management Plan. The findings from that process will help inform the direction and priorities of the Parking Management Plan moving forward.

2.7.3 Visitor contribution for transport · ended the year with minor disruption

Paid parking and congestion charging were investigated as part of the Parking Management Plan and in line with the project scope and findings presented to Councillors in a series of workshops. Further refinement will await findings from the community consultation process from the Destination Management Plan.

2.4.1 Movement and Connection Delivery PlanQ4 · On Track · Review of actions included in the Transport Plan and Cycling and Walking Strategy has been undertaken. A draft Delivery Plan has been prepared for internal review. The draft was discussed at Councillor workshop in April 2025.
2.4.2 Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport StrategyQ4 · On Track · The Noosa Shire Council Parking and Transport Strategy (NSCPTS) is progressing as scheduled. Team members have actively participated in a recent workshop, contributing to the development of key priorities. Community consultation is anticipated to take place in September 2025, ensuring public views are integrated into the next phase of strategy development.

2.4.5 Transport StrategyQ4 · On Track · The Go Noosa program was delivered for the 2024/25 FY. An evaluation report is presented to Council in August 2025.

2.4.1 Transport Strategy · ended the year with major disruption

A review of the existing Transport Strategy is underway in the form of a Transport Delivery Plan and a Sustainable Transport Coordinator has been appointed for commencement in the new financial year. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

2.4.2 Parking Management Plan · ended the year with major disruption

An ITQ has been to market for the preparation of a Parking Management Plan which will be assessed in the new financial year and a Sustainable Transport Coordinator has been appointed for commencement in the new financial year. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

2.4.3 Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport Strategy · ended the year with minor disruption

TMR have awarded a consultancy contract to undertake the development of the Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport Strategy and appointed the Project Steering Committee. The finalisation of the terms of reference is ongoing. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

2.4.5 Walking and cycling · ended the year with minor disruption

A detailed application to the SEQ Liveability Fund as been submitted for the Peregian Beach Coastal Cycle Street & Pathway Stage 1 and Wayfinding Signage and Minor Pathways with announcement of outcomes expected in the new financial year. Delivery of pathways within the C&W Program continue to be scheduled in the 10-year capital works program according to priority and available funding. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

2.7.4 Traffic management technology · ended the year with minor disruption

Data has been finalised and will be presented to Council in the August 24 round of meetings. Note-considered to be part of the initiative to develop the Noosa Parking Management Plan which is an initiative in the new 24/25 Operational Plan.

2.7.5 Visitor contribution for transport · ended the year with major disruption

An ITQ has been to the market for the preparation of a Parking Management Plan which will be assessed in the new financial year and will include investigation into a new revenue system. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

2.4.4 Noosa Heads Bus InterchangeQ4 · Completed · The options analysis phase has been completed and closed out with consultant and TMR representatives (funding body). Development of the Movement and Open Space Master Plan for Noosa Heads will be subject to budget inclusion in future years, post the Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport Strategy.
2.4.7 Go Noosa free busesQ4 · On Track · The Go Noosa program (including free weekend bus program) is ongoing. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

5.3.2 Licence plate recognitionQ4 · Completed · Procurement of the vehicle, LPR technology, systems and communications plan complete. LPR systems implemented 20 April 2024. Final in configuration being completed. Project has been subject to slight delays due to ICT integration and PR challenges. Scheduled to 'Go Live" on 22 July 2024.
