Flood Management Operational Plan complete, currently creating a summarised version for broader distribution. Noosa River Flood Study and Six Mile Creek Flood Study updates are on track with data collation and model establishment phase of project underway. Estimated completion June 2025.
Q2:Minor Disruption
Recent staff changes with two current vacancies in the team has resulted in minor disruptions to the flood planning work. Council continues to wait for QRA approval on the flood planning backfill resource to project manage flood resilience projects. Staff are relying on external consultants to help project manage in the interim until positions are filled.
Q3:Minor Disruption
Recent staff changes with two current vacancies in the team has resulted in minor disruptions to the set of flood planning projects underway. Council was also unsuccessful in receiving QRA approval on the flood planning backfill resource to project manage flood resilience projects. The Climate Change Adaptation Program Lead role has been filled with some flood projects re-commencing.
