Partner with Unitywater to develop an Integrated Water Catchment Management Plan for Burgess Creek that will provide a strategic framework for hydrological, environmental and recreational improvement for the catchment area.

Stakeholder and community engagement plan completed, and consultants for its delivery have been engaged. Technical report in final draft and distributed to stakeholders. Three community and stakeholder engagement sessions held in March and Action Plan currently in drafting stage to be taken to Council in May, prior to wider community consultation via 'Your Say' in June. On track for completion and final endorsement by end of the calendar year.

Progress the development of a public-facing dashboard for the Modern Water Quality Monitoring Program in the Noosa and Mary River sub-catchments, to share insights on the ecological health of the catchments and the monitoring program with the community.

The dashboard has been developed and successfully tested, with the intention of being made publicly available. The current project work focus is on refining the public-facing explanatory information to support broader community understanding and engagement.

Implement the Noosaville Foreshore Infrastructure Master Plan including, subject to funding, proposed capital works delivery, asset renewal program, monitoring of changing climate data as well as ongoing community engagement.

The 20-year plan is progressing through PID initiations, including the Changing Places Facility, Gympie Terrace. The Changing Places facility has progressed to design completion, with community engagement indicating broad support for both the siting and design of the facility. Construction tender award scheduled for May. Revetment Wall and asset renewals supported by available funding and grant applications.

Continue to implement the Eastern Beaches Foreshore Reserves Management Plan focusing on education and awareness of the social and environmental values of foreshores, and key management issues.

This is an annual implementation program. Works are progressing as planned to deliver resilient ecosystems within limited budget, community education, and upgraded infrastructure. Turtle engagement material distributed via mail and workshop. Urban Wildlife Gardens event was hosted in conjunction with NICA, targeting engagement with Eastern Beaches residents. Scoping works with Council's Coastal and Foreshore Officer for beach access upgrades has occurred.

Continue to undertake a proactive auditing program of wastewater treatment systems to keep community safe and maintain water quality and the health of waterways.

The ongoing Wastewater Audit Program – Managing Health and Environmental Risks: The program has been undertaken with 117 residential properties audited through NATA-approved testing, educational materials, and remediation solutions were distributed to support compliance. Council officers have achieved a 70% uptake of electronic service reports via the new OMA app for on-site sewerage system registrations. This positive uptake in electronic OMA app for service reports provides easier submission of residents' service reports and reduces processing timeframes. The educational program for owners of OSF systems is ongoing. The ongoing Backflow Prevention Audit Program – Preventing the risk of contaminating Drinking Water Supply by focusing on high-risk zones. Further 3 stages of backflow prevention audits have been completed with audits carried out at Noosa Village Shopping Centre, Noosa Civic Shopping Centre and the Elysium Noosa Resort resulting in the installation high level backflow devices, reducing the risk of drinking water contamination.

Continue to deliver the Modern Water Quality Monitoring Program for the Noosa and Mary River Sub- catchments to monitor the environmental health of the catchments and identify priority areas for management.

This programme is ongoing. Monitoring was completed as planned for all sites in Q4. A six-month trial of Mary River sub-catchment monitoring has commenced with Sunshine Coast Council. Water quality dashboard has been trialled with the Noosa Waters Residents Association. Council to be briefed on the annual programme in August.

Finalise and initiate implementation of the Noosa River Catchment Management Plan to help protect catchment values and ecosystem services

Delayed to FY2025/26. This initiative will now be advanced as part of the SEQ Resilient Rivers Program for preparing a Catchment Action Plan. Council is being supported with funding via Resilient Rivers and resourcing to assist in preparing the Noosa River Catchment Management Plan. Community engagement on a Draft plan will occur in 2026.

Deliver a Modern Water Quality Monitoring Program for the Noosa and Mary River Sub -catchments including prepare the Mary River sub -catchment report card, complete annual reporting to identify sub catchment water quality grades, support and monitor outcomes of the Keep it in Kin Kin project in conjunction with Noosa & District Landcare.
