Eastern Beaches Foreshore

Continue to implement the Eastern Beaches Foreshore Reserves Management Plan focusing on education and awareness of the social and environmental values of foreshores, and key management issues.

Quarterly updates

Q3 · On Track · January to March 2026 · latest

This is an annual implementation program. Works are progressing as planned to deliver resilient ecosystems within limited budget, community education, and upgraded infrastructure. Turtle engagement material distributed via mail and workshop. Urban Wildlife Gardens event was hosted in conjunction with NICA, targeting engagement with Eastern Beaches residents. Scoping works with Council's Coastal and Foreshore Officer for beach access upgrades has occurred.

Q2 · On Track · October to December 2025

This is an annual implementation program. Works are progressing as planned to deliver resilient ecosystems, community education, and upgraded infrastructure. A key quarterly milestone was the receipt of more than 500 positive responses to the inaugural Foreshore Reserves update.

Q1 · On Track · July to September 2025

Programme progressing as planned. contractors have been working through priority areas. community workshop held to highlight management of invasive species in gardens.

Q4 is not due yet.
