Council officers have achieved a 60% uptake of electronic service reports via the new OMA application for on-site system registrations. Backflow Prevention Audit Program – Protecting Drinking Water Supply: The new backflow prevention audit program is underway, with stage one (six months) focusing on audits and installation of high-risk devices at Tewantin Hibiscus Retirement Village in partnership with Unitywater and contractors (15% completed). Council staff are also addressing 140 outstanding service reports under the existing register.

Council officers have achieved a 68% uptake of electronic service reports via the new OMA application for onsite system registrations. This positive uptake in electronic OMA applications for service reports provides easier submission of residents service reports and reduces processing timeframes. This programme has now reached completion with all uptake residents completing compliance actions to date. Development of residents educational audit programme is underway and details shall be released next quarter. Noosa Junction (81 Noosa Drive) shopping complex audit programme has now been 100% completed with safety audit identifying 46 new installations logged within Council Backflow register.
