An LDCC Workshop was conducted in July 2024 to increase capability in line with the Qld Disaster Management Arrangements. An LDMG Exercise has been rescheduled to October 2024. Disaster Resilience and Get Ready engagement with local schools (September), aged care facilities (August and September) and residents (Noosa Country Show in September) continued in the lead up to our severe weather season.

Our Noosa LDMG Exercise was conducted in our new LDCC in October to increase capability. Four successful Good Neighbour Disaster Resilience events were conducted across the shire (October-December). The annual Get Ready Schools program was delivered to 2,500 local students (October-December) as part of our disaster resilience activities including local emergency services. A regional Council-toCouncil meeting involving seven councils was held in our LDCC along with an FCC training exercise with relevant depot staff in November. Simtable engagements took place through October and November and our disaster resilience vehicle joined the Noosa Christmas Convoy in December, distributing resilience collateral as part of our involvement.
