Initiative 2.4.4: Develop the Noosa Parking Management Plan to guide our approach to the management of parking throughout the shire.
Q1:Minor Disruption
On track for completion in 2024/2025. Initial workshops undertaken with Crs to inform consultant draft work prior to ongoing engagement. Paid parking will be a subsequent program if any appetite.
Q2:Minor Disruption
The timeline for the PMP has been impacted due to resource constraints within the Traffic and Transport Team. However, two working papers, including the feasibility study, have been completed, and the policy/framework and local area plan are currently in progress.
Q3:On Track
The Parking Management Plan is progressing well. The draft framework and local area plans have been prepared and subject to a series of Councillor workshops to review and refine content before broader community engagement later this year.
Q4:Minor Disruption
The Parking Management Plan is currently on hold, pending the outcomes of the community consultation for the Destination Management Plan. The findings from that process will help inform the direction and priorities of the Parking Management Plan moving forward.
