Procurement process for camera equipment and vehicle nearing completion, business system development underway.

Procurement of the vehicle, LPR technology, systems and communications plan complete. LPR systems implemented 20 April 2024. Final in configuration being completed. Project has been subject to slight delays due to ICT integration and PR challenges. Scheduled to 'Go Live" on 22 July 2024.

2.4.4 Develop the Noosa Parking Management Plan to guide our approach to the management of parking throughout the shire.

On track for completion in 2024/2025. Initial workshops undertaken with Crs to inform consultant draft work prior to ongoing engagement. Paid parking will be a subsequent program if any appetite.

The timeline for the PMP has been impacted due to resource constraints within the Traffic and Transport Team. However, two working papers, including the feasibility study, have been completed, and the policy/framework and local area plan are currently in progress.

The Parking Management Plan is progressing well. The draft framework and local area plans have been prepared and subject to a series of Councillor workshops to review and refine content before broader community engagement later this year.

The Parking Management Plan is currently on hold, pending the outcomes of the community consultation for the Destination Management Plan. The findings from that process will help inform the direction and priorities of the Parking Management Plan moving forward.

2.4.5 Finalise the Noosa Parking Management Plan

The Parking Management Plan is currently on hold, awaiting the results from the Destination Management Plan. The next step will be to undertake further Councillor workshops and community consultation on the overall framework and the local area plans, including exploration of dynamic and paid parking.

A draft Parking Management Plan has been completed. Additional Councillor workshops are planned to discuss the overall framework and Local Area Plans, including consideration of dynamic and paid parking. Parallel discussions with the Destination Management have indicated ongoing support to explore paid parking. Planned workshops will also guide the development of the approach and methodology for community engagement. This work will inform the next phase of the project and support coordinated engagement and delivery.
