2.4.5 Embed the Go Noosa program including the free weekend and holiday bus program, as part of the Transport Strategy to reduce traffic congestion and reduce emissions.

The transport & traffic team continues to be impacted by resourcing issues however the Go Noosa program is continuing successfully. Christmas holiday activities are currently being planned and will be delivered in December.

The Go Noosa Christmas period has concluded, and preparations for Easter are underway. A review of the initiatives from the Christmas period is also currently being evaluated.

The Go Noosa Christmas and Easter period has concluded, and a review of the initiatives is now underway. An interim review of the Go Noosa program was presented to Council recently in light of the ongoing 50c fares and led to Council endorsing a reprofiling of the free bus program to focus on the Loop Service. The full evaluation of the Go Noosa program is scheduled to be presented to Council meetings in July.

The Go Noosa program was delivered for the 2024/25 FY. An evaluation report is presented to Council in August 2025.
