2025–262 initiatives
2.2.1 Noosa Biosphere TrailsQ3 · On Track · Complete work packages currently in construction. Initiated completion reporting requirements. Consolidating remaining work items into packages to be tender-ready, pending approval of scope expansion and approval from grant provider of and extension of time.
2.2.2 Noosa Botanic Gardens Master PlanQ3 · On Track · The final public consultation phase was completed in November–December 2025. Submissions have been reviewed and presented to the stakeholder reference group (SRG). The updated plan incorporating feedback is scheduled to be presented to a final meeting of the SRG April 2026 and to Council for endorsement in May/ June 2026.

2.2.2 Noosa Botanic Gardens Master Plan · ended the year with minor disruption

Stakeholder Reference Group, meetings & initial public consultation complete. Draft to be submitted to Council in September 2025 for endorsement and final public consultation.

2.2.1 Noosa Biosphere TrailsQ4 · On Track · Project Reference Group has been re-established to guide scope of works. On the ground works has commenced, with ongoing procurement and scope refinement underway for remaining works to meet grant obligations. QPWS permit Section 34 application for all trails progressing well. This project is funded until November 2026.

2.2.1 Noosa Botanic Gardens Master PlanQ4 · On Track · Work on the Noosa Botanic Gardens Master Plan has progressed and will be finalised in the 2024/25 financial year. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan
2.2.2 Noosa Biosphere TrailsQ4 · On Track · The Implementation Plan is complete. The operational plan is on hold until all grant funded works are completed as priority. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan
2.2.3 Pathway renewalQ4 · On Track · Minor delays have resulted in not all pathways identified for renewal being completed in 23/24. Limited availability of competent contractors have resulted in lesser experienced contractors requiring substantial guidance, supervision and additional time to complete works. Remaining pathways will be completed in 24/25. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan
