Deliver the Cycling and Walking Implementation Plan to guide Council's planning, development and promotion of bike and walking networks in the future.

Q3 · On Track · January to March 2026 · latest

A one-year delivery plan for additional walking paths has been prepared under the Missing Links program and incorporated into the Capital Works Program. Planning for the next year's package is underway. This is an ongoing delivery program.

Q2 · Minor Disruption · October to December 2025

Oversight of the Walking and Cycling Implementation Plan has transitioned to the Transport and Traffic team. Work is underway to review information and identify locations for the Missing Links and Short Links programs in collaboration with the Design and Delivery team. Key projects, including the Peregian Beach Active Street, Hilton Esplanade Cycle Street, and the Local Links Footpath Program, are well advanced.

Q1 · On Track · July to September 2025

The transition of the Walking and Cycling Strategy from the Design and Delivery team to the Transport and Traffic team has commenced. Work is underway to review information and identify locations for the Missing Links and Short Links programs in collaboration with the Design and Delivery team.
