Implement Noosa Industry and Employment Activation Plan, with a focus on audit and activation of Council- owned land parcels such as Jarrah St, Cooroy and progress planning of a Circular Economy Precinct as part of the Renewable Energy Hub at the Noosa Waste and Resource Recovery Centre.

Jarrah Street EOI: Prospectus for Council owned lots completed (including Lease for 2 Jarrah, managed by Property Team). Probity review completed. Awaiting approval to go out for Expressions of Interest in early Q4 - ahead of schedule. Green Economy Activation: Focused effort on a) Renewable Energy Hub -Grant funding of $27M being sought for for Compost Site and b) Assisting Climate Change Team, with Net Zero Emissions project. Green Drinks going from strength to strength. Regenerative Ag Hub: Feasibility Study in progress. Anticipate final report in Q4. Re-engagement with Stockwell on Innovation Precinct scheduled for Q4.

Jarrah Street EOI: Expressions of Interest for Council-owned lots to commence in the first quarter of 2026. Procurement engaged; probity review and communications plan (including contact database) completed. Green Economy Activation: As a priority project, ECDEV and Waste Management are developing a strategic activation plan for a circularity precinct within the Renewable Energy Hub Master Plan.

Expressions of Interest for the Jarrah Street lots are anticipated in Q3. Procurement is engaged, and a probity review is underway. A comprehensive database of potential contacts—including Department of State Development (and Invest QLD) —has been developed. The Property Team will undertake a separate but aligned process for the Jarrah Street site formerly leased by Eco-Lodges, supported by coordinated joint communications. Economic Development team is working closely with Waste Management Team to activate a circularity precinct as part of Renewable Energy Hub. This is considered a priority project of the Green Economy Plan.
