Israel claims Al Jazeera ban was only way to protect them from being carpet bombed (The Chaser)

The Israeli government have denied allegations that they banned Al Jazeera in order to hide their war crimes from the public, with Prime Minister Netanyahu instead suggesting that it was simply the only way to protect journalists from being carpet bombed by the IDF.

“You all said to stop massacring journalists,” said Netanyahu, “and this was the only way that we could think of for how to make that happen.”

“We understand that maybe when we pass 150 journalists killed soon, western media might begin to raise an eyebrow and we don’t want to have to deal with such heavy non-scrutiny.”

“If they were in Rafah for example, they would getting blown up right now, so if anything the world should be thanking me.”

In response western leaders begun drafting statements expressing concern about the bombing of the last ‘safe place’ in Gaza, but clarifying that they aren’t so concerned that they would consider sanctions or stopping any military related deals they have with the IDF.
