Agribusiness Hub (Food Connect, Brisbane) on track to deliver feasibility study in Q4. In collaboration with Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN) delivered "Harvest to Plate" working with Chef Matt Golinski to introduce Noosa's food producers and products to fourteen of Noosa's most prominent chefs to create more effective distribution channels for producers. Sponsored "Regenerative Farming Event" hosted by Eastwell Farms scheduled for Q4. Next "Green Drinks" networking forum (scheduled for Q4) to feature Regenerative Farming.

Consultancy procurement completed: Food Connect (Brisbane) engaged to deliver a feasibility study for a Noosa Agribusiness Hub. Mobilisation meeting set for the first quarter in 2026. Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN) engagement: Following FAN’s Q2 restructure, the new executive was briefed on Council priorities - regenerative practices, market access, and food tourism - key areas for joint value creation.

Agribusiness in Noosa now contributes less than 2.2% (approx. $58 million) to the region’s economy, compared to Health (12%) and Tourism (7%). To support the sector, the Economic Development, is refreshing a Food and Agribusiness Development Plan in collaboration with the Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN), identifying where Council can deliver the greatest value. Procurement for a Proof of Concept for a Food and Agribusiness Business Hub is about to commence, with a successful proponent to be appointed by the end of Q2. The sector’s strategic focus is on regeneration and regenerative practices.
