4.7.1 Develop a roadmap and investment plan toward zero emissions for Council services
Q1
Consultants have been engaged, and seven Councillor workshops have been completed. An additional workshop is scheduled for December, with an Interim Report to be presented to the December Planning and Environment Committee meeting.

Consultants have been engaged, and seven Councillor workshops completed. An Interim Report was presented to the December 2025 Planning & Environment Committee meeting. A Councillor workshop is scheduled for 29 January 2026. Delivery of the Final Report and recommendations are scheduled for the Planning & Environment Committee meeting in April.
5.2 Continue to deliver a financially sustainable Council that has the Provider resources now and into the future to achieve its strategic objectives. This will be supported through the introduction of enhanced sustainability reporting and performance indicators, as well as ESG (environment social and governance) accounting practices as guided by statutory requirements.
5.2.2 Implement the emissions reduction program

Solar panel audits completed with rectification works underway. Solar extension at Tewantin Admin Building complete. Future emissions reduction ZEN capital projects identified for implementation 25/26 FY. Roadmap to Zero Emissions underway, consultants engaged and six Councillor workshops completed.

A solar panel audit has been completed in October 2025, with rectification works for identified issues currently underway. Solar extension at the Tewantin Admin Building is complete. Future emissions reduction Zero Emissions Noosa (ZEN) capital projects have been identified for implementation for 25/26 FY. A progress report was presented to the December 2025 Planning & Environment Committee meeting. Zero Emissions investment roadmap is being developed, consultants have been engaged, and multiple Councillor workshops were undertaken.
