A draft Noosa Cemeteries Plan has been developed following a consultation phase. Awaiting Lake Macdonald Drive affordable housing devlopment outcome prior to presenting the draft Noosa Cemeteries Plan to Council for consideration. Workshop scheduled with Councillors in March 2026.

Research paper written exploring potential new cemetery services to meet future needs of the community. Revision of fees and charges (25/26) with new services added. Currently collating data to commence the introduction of a plot retrieval scheme for unused plots to help meet future burial requirements.

A research paper exploring potential new cemetery services to meet future needs of the community has been written. Revision of fees and charges (25/26) with new services have been added. Although this task has been completed, it will continually be reviewed in line with Council budget process, e.g. data is currently collected to commence the introduction of a plot retrieval scheme for unused plots to help meet future burial requirements. The last phase of the project is to market new services which is underway.
