On track with completing Phase 4 (assessing cascading risks) and beginning Phase 5 (preparing resilience measures) of the two year project. Project Completion by June 2025.

Advancing Stages 5 and 6 of the project, including the Cost Benefit Analysis using Noosaville Depot or Noosa Leisure Centre as the case study site for adaptation options. Executive Steering Group scheduled for Feb 2025.

Completing Stage 6 and 7 of the project including the economic analysis for Noosaville Depot and sharing lessons learned more broadly. On track for final completion by EOFY with embedding of project findings as the next step.

Project has completed all stages and final reports have been received. QRA grant has been acquitted. Final Executive Steering Group meeting was postponed to August 2025 to align with Executive team availability. Report to ET and Council anticipated for for September 2025.

4.8.3 Implement the Regional Climate Action Roadmap with Sunshine Coast Council
Q1
Critical Infrastructure Failure and Cascading Climate Risk Project completed with reporting and knowledge-sharing with other Councils, Local Disaster management Group (LDMG) and state agencies ongoing. Adaptation game has been developed with Sunshine Coast Regional Council for community resilience building. The launch of the Climate Wise Communities program anticipated by December 2025.

Critical Infrastructure Failure and Cascading Climate Risk (CIF) Project has been completed with reporting and knowledgesharing with other Councils, Local Disaster management Group (LDMG) and state agencies ongoing. CIF project scheduled for reporting to Council at the February 2026 Planning & Environment Committee meeting. An adaptation game has been developed with Sunshine Coast Regional Council for to support community resilience building. The launch of the Climate Wise Communities program is anticipated for April 2026.
