Initial meeting with DTMR held. Background information provided to DTMR. Waiting on DTMR to collate information from SCC and NC and to put forward a suggested strategy. Investigations on transit hubs are on hold until the new Transport and Traffic coordination matters are finalised.

Council has experienced ongoing delays in recruiting a Transport and Traffic Co-ordinator to lead this project. In addition, the Northern Sunshine Coast Transport Strategy has a project delivery date of February 2025, which will be a key strategy document to inform the future transit hubs at Noosa Civic and Cooroy. The project has additionally experienced delays due to DMTR staff being on leave and Council is awaiting review of DTMR's consultancy ITQ briefing document.

TMR are currently in the process of awarding a consultancy contract to undertake the development of the NSCPTS. Next steps will be to setup the Project Steering Committee and terms of reference. Note-as previously reported

2.4.2 Commence a Northern Sunshine Coast Public Transport Strategy including advocating with DTMR for the finalisation of the strategy and undertaking investigations into the Cooroy and Shire transit hubs to improve public transport connectivity in the shire for residents and visitors.

The NSCPT commenced August 2024 and Council is currently working with DTMR on the delivery of this project. The completion date for the Transit Hubs has been extended to January 2025 as a result of challenges finding consensus in preferred location for each hub. The Cooroy location has now been confirmed, with additional workshops and consultation required to progress the selection of the Noosaville hub location.

The NSCPTS is progressing as scheduled, with Noosa Council actively working in partnership with TMR and Sunshine Coast to advance the plan.

The Noosa Shire Council Parking and Transport Strategy (NSCPTS) is progressing as scheduled. Team members have actively participated in a recent workshop, contributing to the development of key priorities. Community consultation is anticipated to take place in September 2025, ensuring public views are integrated into the next phase of strategy development.
