Noosa Woods pathway (including connection to Sofitel boardwalk) & Path widening at Memorial Park, Tewantin are scheduled for delivery in November & February respectively; Design finalisation of missing links (Boreen Point, Factory St, Kauri St, Grifith Ave) to be fast tracked for delivery in Q4 of 23/24 FY; approx. $1million allocated to pathway asset renewals this FY - this is being aligned with Walking & Cycling Strategy to deliver increased level of service (widening) where appropriate; Walking Network Plans for Cooroy Train Station & Good Shepherd School Noosaville are under development & are to be finalised in Q2 following incorporation of feedback from TMR & Internal stakeholders.

Construction of Noosa Woods pathway (including connection to Sofitel boardwalk) is nearing completion. Path widening at Memorial park Tewantin is currently scheduled for delivery in February; Design finalisation of missing links (Boreen point, kauri St, Grifith Ave) being fast tracked and still currently scheduled for delivery in Q4 of 23/24 FY. Factory Street missing link has been delayed to allow further investigation & community consultation; approx. $1million of pathway asset renewals currently underway this FY - Delivery is being aligned with Walking & Cycling Strategy to deliver increased level of service (widening) where appropriate. Council has also sought funding for coastal pathway funding under the SEQ Liveability Fund and optimistic of outcomes Walking Network Plans for Cooroy Train Station & Good Shepherd School Noosaville have been finalised and will be submitted to Council for endorsement in Q3. Priority works Schedule recommendations are being finalised following incorporation of feedback from TMR & Internal stakeholders.

A detailed application to the SEQ Livability Fund as been submitted for the Peregian Beach Coastal Cycle Street & Pathway Stage 1 and Wayfinding Signage and Minor Pathways. Note-as previously reported

A detailed application to the SEQ Liveability Fund as been submitted for the Peregian Beach Coastal Cycle Street & Pathway Stage 1 and Wayfinding Signage and Minor Pathways with announcement of outcomes expected in the new financial year. Delivery of pathways within the C&W Program continue to be scheduled in the 10-year capital works program according to priority and available funding. Note-relisted in the new 24/25 Operational Plan

2.4.3 Deliver the Cycling and Walking Implementation Plan to guide Council's planning, development and promotion of bike and walking networks in the future.

The 2024/25 Capital Works Program includes over $2m worth of pathway upgrades and renewals. Cycle grant projects underway and grant applications submitted for the 2025/26 capital program. Additionally, SEQCSP funding has been secured for the 2025/26 - 2026/27 missing link projects.

Pathways works are being delivered across the Shire as part of the 24/25FY Capital Works program. The Implementation plan is being used to support project bids and grant submissions for the 25/26FY capital works program. Key initiatives that have progressed include the Noosa Coastal Pathway (Peregian Beach Active Street), Noosa Drive Pathway Design, Noosa Parade Stage 2 Design, grant submissions for Hilton Esplanade Cycle Street and Pomona Walking Network Plan and the delivery of the Local Links footpath program including the connector to Pomona Secondary College.

The transition of the Walking and Cycling Strategy from the Design and Delivery team to the Transport and Traffic team has commenced. Work is underway to review information and identify locations for the Missing Links and Short Links programs in collaboration with the Design and Delivery team. Key projects, including the Peregian Beach Active Street, Hilton Esplanade Cycle Street, and the Local Links Footpath Program, are well advanced.
