PROPOSED MEETING SCHEDULE - JULY TO DECEMBER 2024

Executive summary

This report is for Council to confirm the continuation of Standing Committees as part of its decision making process and the adoption of a meeting timetable for the remainder of the calendar year until 31 December 2024.

Recommendation

That Council note the report by the Chief Executive Officer (Acting) to the Ordinary Meeting dated 16 May 2024 and approve the Council Meeting dates for the remainder of 2024 (July-December) as set out in Attachment 1 to the Report.

Internal Agenda Briefings will continue as follows: The day prior to Planning & Environment Committee and Services & Organisation Committee Agenda delivery, Council Officers will facilitate an internal workshop with Councillors. This is designed for Council Officers to discuss the upcoming monthly agenda with the Council. The workshop is not a decision making forum and is designed to assist Councillors and Council Officers to work more closely together in the provision of information prior to agenda release.

Special Council Meetings It should be noted that Special Council meetings can be called at any time to deal with specific issues if required.
