Channel 7 launches their own protests demanding the government fund cocaine for rapists (The Chaser)

News network you wouldn’t leave alone with your drink, Channel 7 has announced their own counter-protests following the 17 protests against men’s violence across the country over the weekend.

“Many of our reporters were at the No More protests over the weekend,” said a representative, “yet they felt unwelcome whenever a speaker would mention a serious act of violence. How was our team meant to know that the pauses were so people could say ‘shame’ instead of cheering and high fiving each other?”

“For far too long in this country, our friends are unfairly judged for threatening their wives, raping women or committing a cheeky war crime. The government is failing these men, not by providing any consequences for their actions, but by not giving them the power they deserve. The time for action is now!”

“Our demands are simple. Continue ignoring the calls to properly fund preventative measures against violence and the support groups that help victims. Instead the government should support the real victims, the men committing the violence. Some of these poor blokes even have to pay for their own cocaine using our credit card. Enough is enough!”

Many of the network’s producers made signs with slogans like “Baggies for Buddies”, “Leggies for Legends” and “No More Rent for Rapists”.
