The Digital Hub hosted Prof Bela Stantic who discussed how he uses big data methods to analyse social media comments and predict election outcomes. He has now turned his attention to developing a social media lie detector.

Prof Peter Corke: Computer Vision & Robotics

Prof Peter Corke is an Australian roboticist known for his work on Visual Servoing, field robotics, online education, the online Robot Academy and the Robotics Toolbox and Machine Vision Toolbox for MATLAB. Peregian Beach Digital Hub

The Digital Hub houses technology companies and individual workers in an open environment suited to collaboration and co-working. It accommodates a mix of emerging and established technology enterprises as well as individual entrepreneurs. The Hub regularly hosts a range of workshops, meetups and presentations.

Coding from Beach

On the first Thursday of each month, Coding from Beach meets at the Digital Hub to bring together folks programming on the Sunshine Coast with all skill levels welcome. The idea is to meet socially, share presentations and chat about new tech. The group aims to have a high bandwidth environment for safely sharing and learning about programming.
